The first objective of the University for this course is to recover as normal as possible despite the pandemic. The new academic year begins with great expectationss for the Pontevedra Campus. The second most demanded Campus in Galicia, behind Santiago due to the attractiveness of its degrees, according to the Vice Chancellor Jorge Soto.
It will also be a course on important projects at the Pontevedra Campus. On the one hand, it is intended to close the definitive agreement to integrate the School of Nursing in the University, since it is an attached center belonging to the Provincial Council.
But it will also be a year of works, because the Fine Arts exhibition hall is being renovated and the expansion of the Education and Sports Sciences Building will immediately be undertaken, the second phase of a building that has been pending since 2006.
But above all, in this academic year the University plans to promote the new building projected for years on the old Tafisa grounds. A building in which it is proposed to locate the Faculty of Fine Arts, and the new Design and Creation degree that will be implemented provisionally next year in the building of the Xunta de Benito Corbal.
The Vice-Rector of the Campus anticipated in these stations that in this course the new building will be promoted because the local Campus will continue to grow with new degrees and urgently need space.
