WHO has begun supplying North Korea with anti-Covid-19 / Day drugs

“To support North Korea with the necessary drugs against Covid-19, WHO has started supplies from Dalian,” according to a WHO weekly report quoted by the news agency Yonhap.

As the report covers the period from 20 to 26 September, the Agency concludes that the shipment started at the end of last month.

It is not specified exactly which drugs are being sent to North Korea.

The agency admits that North Korea could relax the strict border regime introduced in a global pandemic situation.

Since January 2020, North Korea’s borders have been completely closed to both foreigners and citizens.

According to official data, no cases of Covid-19 have been reported in North Korea since the beginning of the pandemic.

The latest WHO report states that a total of 40,700 North Korean citizens have been tested for Covid-19, but “as of September 23, 2021, no cases of Covid-19 have been reported.”
