The socialist bloc, headed by councilor Gonzalo Cristini, made a request for a report on an “abnormal situation” that occurred with the director of Gender and Equality.
Pilar Sánchez, director of Gender and Equality of the Villense municipality, spoke to the press after the request for a report from the socialist bloc on her personal appointment, in which she resigned from her position, went to her position as municipal worker with an increase to the category 19 and then resumed as a political official, without a public competition for the position having been held.
“The socialist government, of which Councilor Cristini was a part, handled itself with total impunity in the appointment of the categories of municipal employees. We do it in a transparent way without anything else strange or hidden, to the point that it was published in the official gazette as is usually done ”, was the first thing he said in relation to his appointment.
Salary
Of course, within this specific issue, it was put on the table that the salary that would correspond to her as a civil servant, which would be $ 160,000 per month and that also produced discussion, to which she replied: “The salary receipts of municipal employees are of public access and can be consulted. I do not think it is appropriate to talk about that. Today I am a political official and I do not get paid as an employee ”.
Pilar Sánchez was taken to category 19 and the maximum is 24. “I am far from having the maximum” and when she was told that there are dissatisfied people, she pointed out that “surely there will be, but it seems to me and it gives me the feeling that not it is an injury to my person, but to the area where I work. I thank the women colleagues and institutions that showed solidarity with me for the attack that I am suffering from the Socialist councilors. I understand it as an attack by a political campaign towards an area that works tirelessly ”and ended by saying that“ we are in a political campaign and things are mixed. It is striking how they attack the area and it is because they do not agree with the work that we are doing with such success ”.
Gonzalo Cristini
“Pilar Sánchez is a civil servant and she is also a municipal employee. There is nothing wrong with that because she can be relieved of the permanent staff and assigned to a political function through an administrative act determined by the mayor, ”Councilor Cristini began by saying.
She went on to say that “she had been working with the Gender Director in the municipality and on May 31, Mayor Jorge Berti obtained her resignation, it was formally accepted and immediately afterwards, in the same administrative decree, she was raised to category 19 as an employee. more municipal, with a position of leadership without public contest ”.
The councilor assured that “three months passed without covering that political space and when we presented the request for information, we found that she was again appointed to the political floor.”
For Cristini “it is a situation to say the least, suspicious and doubtful. It is difficult to understand, it is disturbing and we must understand what happened because in the middle there are public resources that belong to all of the people of Villena. That is why we ask for an exhaustive report of everything that has been done and its basis. We have the chronology, the dates, the people involved, those who signed and we will ask each of them for explanations. “
Víctor Secreto, councilor for the Social and Popular Front:
“It is our duty as councilors to control and know why someone resigns from their political position to move to the floor, is recategorized with a higher place and returns to their political position. It is not a question of gender, but of transparency ”. Diego Martín, socialist councilor:
“That they explain to us why someone resigns, relocates in the municipal organization chart, is recategorized and takes over again. We also request a report on the Secretary of Public Works Miguel Santolín, who continued to be a supplier to the Municipality ”.
