Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – World oil prices rose again in trading this morning. The increase in the price of the black gold to carve the latest record.
On Wednesday (6/10/2021) at 06:35 WIB, the price of Brent oil was at US$ 82.56/barrel. Up 1.6% from the previous day and the highest on record since October 10, 2018.
Meanwhile, the light sweet type costs US$ 79.04/barrel. It edged up 0.14% but was the highest since October 28, 2014.
The spike in oil prices was caused by the market’s response to the results of the OPEC+ meeting. During the meeting, Saudi Arabia, Russia and colleagues agreed to maintain production as previously agreed.
Some time ago, OPEC+ agreed to increase oil production by 400,000 barrels/day/month until December 2021. There is nothing more.
“We have reconfirmed the planned production adjustment plan,” OPEC+ said in a statement.
