At the end of the afternoon two beaked whales washed up on the beach of Monster. According to the SOS Dolfijn shelter and knowledge center, an attempt was made to save the animals, but neither of them survived.
Rescuers tried to help the two dolphins back to sea, but were unsuccessful. “One animal died soon after the rescuers arrived on site. With all their might, the second animal managed to turn towards the sea, but unfortunately that animal also died,” says SOS Dolfijn to Broadcasting West.
