Due to numerous forfeits, Fernando Santos has called up three reinforcements for the international matches.
Last Thursday, Fernando Santos unveiled a list of 24 players to face Qatar on October 9 in Faro / Loulé in a friendly, then Luxembourg on October 12 as part of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
For these two meetings, Portugal will be deprived of many players who have just withdrawn: they are Rafa Silva (striker of Benfica Lisbon) and Domingos Duarte (defender of Granada) who are injured.
In order to compensate for these packages, Fernando Santos, the Portuguese coach, called on three players: LOSC defender José Fonte and two attackers: Rafael Leão (AC Milan) and Franscisco Trincão (currently on loan to Wolverhampton by FC Barcelona ).
