After a while with fierce speculation among fans came the news they have been waiting for: On Tuesday afternoon, Adele posted a video clip on Twitter announcing that she will release the song “Easy on me” on October 15.
In the 21-second video, we see the pop star driving a car with a trailer that apparently contains a moving load. At the same time, what may be the intro to the new song is heard.
For several years there has been speculation as to when new music will come from the British singer, who has not released anything since the award-winning album “25” came out in 2015.
Rumors of a fourth studio album really took off when a Canadian radio DJ on September 28 tweeted that there would be a new album from Adele the following week.
It did not, but by the end of the week, large 30s began to appear on big screens and facades in several major cities around the world.
Several fans of the superstar took the stunt as a signal that a new album is coming.
The singer’s previous album has been titled according to the age she had when she wrote them: “19”, “21” and “25”.
Adele is now 33 years old, but was 30 years old when she broke with from ex-husband Simon Konecki, with whom she has a son. Several fans therefore speculate that “30” is the name of the next album.
After the divorce, the 33-year-old has found happiness with sports agent Rich Paul.
