ThroughoutAvengers : Endgame, several clues teased Steve Rogers’ reunion with Peggy Carter. Nevertheless, the Russo brothers’ film was not the only one to refer to the future decision of Captain America since the idea of going back in time and spending the rest of his life with the British agent encountered in the Second World War would have already been mentioned in a scene fromAvengers : L’Ere d’Ultron. The sequence in question relates more exactly to the hallucinations that Wanda subjected to the Avengers in the feature film. By interfering in the psyche of Steve Rogers, the heroine transported him to 1945, at the end of the war, while Peggy asks the superhero if he is ready for the dance so much promised.
The vision Wanda created was intended to distract Steve and it worked as Chris Evans’ character, like his teammates, was shaken by what he saw. It would not be surprising then that this dream was ingrained in him afterwards, that he believed it, Steve having been able to keep this idea in the back of his head. Wanda Maximoff, who will soon be found in Doctor Strange 2, would therefore have played a capital role vis-à-vis the reunion of Captain America with Peggy Carter at the end ofAvengers : Endgame. Like what the MCU has not finished forging links as fun as they are surprising between all these adaptations!
