The demand for obesity treatments, including stomach reductions, has increased by 15 percent during the corona pandemic, according to the Dutch Obesity Clinic (NOK). The specialized clinic, which collaborates with regular hospitals, makes a direct connection with corona. “More and more people are aware that being overweight greatly increases the risk of serious complications with a corona infection,” says director Kobus Dijkhorst.
