The author himself says about the concert program that they are especially bright and full of happiness works written in recent years. “The compositions are united by a light mood and a light mood full of strength and energy and a feeling of happiness. Most of my music is inspired by walks, where I go every day through forests and meadows near my home on the Kurzeme side. During these walks I have seen how many different ways can sunlight or moonlight shine over and over again, and even seem to color the same landscape, tree, lake, or seashore. “I think that creating such music is a way to write my most personal diary,” says Vestards Šimkus.
