Two prosecutors from the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office terrorize and discriminate against me because I am different and have a gay attraction. This is what Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chavdar Stoyanov, a lecturer in international studies, writes right to the American ambassador Hero Mustafa. A few years ago, Stoyanov’s name was embroiled in a scandal with students over his sexual orientation, which led to his dismissal from Alma Mater. After nearly five years of fighting, he was finally acquitted on charges of lewd acts with a 30-year-old man.

DEAR MRS. MUSTAFA, YOUR HIGHNESS,
I am addressing you with an urgent and sincere request for protection – due to the severe discriminatory situation in which I have been placed in my homeland in the last six / 6 / calendar years of 2015. here. I am a lawyer, former lecturer, doctor of law, specialist in Public International Law, EU Law, International Criminal Law, defended a dissertation against international terrorism – “Financing of terrorism as an international crime” with the supervisor of the former Prosecutor General Prof. Dr. ю. Prof. Boris Velchev, current head of the Constitutional Court! I have 5 books and over 15 publications in Bulgarian and international editions. I speak two foreign languages. I have 16 years of experience as a lawyer.
Professionally, I am very well acquainted with the contribution of the Great United States of America in the fight against discrimination on all grounds, especially sexual, as well as with the protection and advocacy of human rights – all over the world! In my numerous lectures to students from 5 universities in Bulgaria, I also refer to the Decisions of the US Supreme Court on Discrimination. This gave me hope that you would read my letter carefully and that you could help me in my difficult life and professional destiny.
I was born on February 6, 1978 in Sofia. I graduated with honors from the German Language High School. I studied law at Sofia University, graduated with honors and became an assistant, then chief assistant and finally associate professor at VUARR-Plovdiv. I AM BISEXUAL and I am attracted to athletic and sports boys, I participate in BDSM games and dominate them, I choose educated and discreet partners. Alas, it turned out that in the Republic of Bulgaria 32 years after the beginning of democracy, this is almost a crime. WHY? Don’t I have the right to a private sex life, don’t I have the right to self-determination, in what age do we live? I was fired disciplinary from Sofia University “St. Cl. Ohridski ”with fabricated accusations that I made male students” do push-ups, naked to the waist “. They wrote newspapers, insulted me, threatened me on the phone, cursed me!
I was tried for committing “lewd acts” under Art. 157 of the Penal Code, without the person Alexander Vuchkov, who was allegedly injured, a 30-year-old gigolo, even filed a complaint against me. We have had many times with him completely voluntary sexual relations, including oral love and domination in BDSM game, which is my sexual fetish, I have seen it in the Netherlands and other countries, it is spread all over the world! With decision number 200 of 08.07.2020 in criminal case 918/2019 a three-member panel of the Supreme Court of Cassation upheld the acquittal of the Sofia City Court under N.D.O.H.№863 / 2019 and I WAS JUSTIFIED for a crime under Art. 157, para 1 of the Penal Code – an old archaic text from the time of the totalitarian regime.
However, the prosecutors from the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office – Ivan Petrov and Georgi Ivanov – are against me. They have proven to be illiterate homophobes, lawyers who terrorize me on sexual grounds, do not respect the law, harass my whole family, repress me just because I am different and I have a gay attraction !!! Where is the Chief Prosecutor Mr. Ivan Geshev? Why doesn’t he supervise the rule of law and stop this bullying and gossip about me?
I ASK FOR YOUR INTERVENTION, MRS. AMBASSADOR, I ONLY TRUST YOU !!! I am suing the prosecutor’s office for compensation because I feel humiliated, ruined and repressed – without legal grounds. International legal acts and acts on the protection of human rights, to which the Republic of Bulgaria is a party – after proper ratification according to the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties of 1969 – also protect sexual minorities! THE BULGARIAN PROSECUTORS FROM THE Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office Ivan Petrov and Georgi Ivanov – NO!
They want repression against me.
I have always been democratic, in my public life I have defended human rights, the rule of law, I have protested in the squares when there is a need for change, I have been active and with many appearances in the media, I sympathize with the efforts of representatives of the US Embassy in support of the democratic legal order and the values of freedom.
I am neither a criminal nor a criminal element to be treated this way. I have fought and always fought against corruption and behind the scenes in our public and political life. I turn to you, fully convinced that you will help me and people like me who are not to blame for their different sexual orientations, but are respectable citizens, democrats by conviction, law-abiding, defending their right to personal happiness and well-being! * / I am sending two of my books, with respect and esteem to you! /
