Data collection madness, misuse of sensitive data, negligent handling of personal data … topics that shape the current time and must be addressed.
In this context, the data protection officer of the canton of Zurich once again carried out the data protection video competition, in which students from the BZWW also took part.
Two classes were able to watch videos on the subject of “Is there a vaccination for my data?” and then voluntarily submit it to the competition. According to the data protection officer of the canton of Zurich, the winning entries should call for personal responsibility – and precisely this criterion was met by an entry from Weinfelden.
Giada Ditaranto, Noemi Engeli and Anjali Kolakkotte have shown very well under the title “Stupidity of an Influencer” how sensitive data are unintentionally disclosed. An example of how it can happen in the everyday life of young people and influencers. With this they reached 3rd place in the competition and received a trophy and a prize of CHF 1,000.
“We would like to thank Ms. Dürig for motivating us to take part.”
The Weinfelden Business Education Center congratulates Giada, Noemi and Anjali on this great success!
