Residents’ land disputes with Sentul City in Bogor Regency is getting hotter. Recently, a number of residents were suspected of committing destruction the Bojong Koneng Village office, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, for allegedly not accepting Sentul City’s eviction attempt.
The destruction of the village office occurred around 11.00 WIB, Saturday (2/10/2021). The mob allegedly damaged the front area of the building to the village head’s office.
A number of flower pots in front of the village office were also damaged by the masses. The village head’s room was also the target of the residents’ rampage.
Regarding this land dispute, there are different responses between Rocky Gerung and the residents of Bojong Koneng and PT Sentul City. What is the difference?
Rocky Gerung Party and Bojong Koneng Residents
Rocky Gerung’s attorney and a resident of Bojong Koneng, Nafirdo Ricky, explained the actions of the residents who damaged the Bojong Koneng Village Office. He said the action began with the eviction efforts carried out by Sentul City to residents’ land.
“The arrival of the residents to the village office was triggered because from last Friday, Sentul’s side and the possibility of the village head taking measurements. However, the residents have intercepted it,” said Nafirdo, Sunday (3/10/2021).
“But then on Saturday around 10-11 am, the Sentul bulldozer moved again. That’s Mr. Sudianto’s land whose name was flattened by Sentul City and his troops. We don’t know where the troops came from, only there are more people than residents,” he added.
The residents then went to the Bojong Koneng Village office to ask for help. Nafirdo said that the village had fled, which inflamed the emotions of the people who came.
