A number of mobs destroy Bojong Koneng Village Office in the district of Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency. One of the members of Linmas named Syahrir told the moments destruction village office conducted by the masses.
Syahrir said the incident occurred on Saturday (2/10) at around 11.00 WIB, yesterday. At that time he was in his room and heard the screams of the crowd calling the name of the village head.
“So, I was screaming for the village head,” said Syahrir when he was met at the Bojong Koneng Village Office, Bogor Regency, Sunday (3/10/2021).
Syahrir then left his room, and saw the crowd had gathered. He didn’t know for sure the number of people at that time, but saw that the crowds were in the tens of thousands.
“I don’t really know (the exact number of people), there are many, but there are dozens,” he said.
Syaharir told of the crowd who came and broke the glass in the front yard of the building. Two pieces of glass in the right and left corners of the entrance to the Bojong Koneng Village office were damaged by the mob.
At the time of the vandalism, at the village office only the posyandu women were active. After the condition got out of control, Syahrir then rushed out of the building. He only heard screams from posyandu mothers who were frightened by the arrival of the masses.
“Women screamed. Let alone my mothers were also afraid,” said Syahrir.
He did not know how long the crowd would vandalize the Bojong Koneng Village Office. Syahrir admitted that he immediately saved himself when he saw the outrage of the masses.
“I don’t know my people right away. It’s scary,” he said.
