A 25-year-old prisoner escaped from an unguarded workplace in Nové Hamry in the Karlovy Vary region on Saturday afternoon. Police launched a search and reassured the public that the man should not be dangerous. After a few hours, the man landed. A similar case took place on Friday, October 1, at the workplace in Rudná, from where a 53-year-old prisoner escaped. He’s still eluding the police.
On Saturday, Karlovy Vary police searched for the escaped prisoner. He was to leave the unguarded workplace in Nové Hamry before 2 pm, in the direction of Horní Blatná. “The wanted man is not dangerous. He is serving his sentence for obstructing the execution of an official decision and expulsion,” police spokeswoman Zuzana Týřová assured.
The public also asked for help. “For any information, call 158 or contact your nearest police station,” she urged people. A few hours later, the police managed to track down the man in the Sokolovská region.
Only one day has passed since an almost identical event. On Friday, Central Bohemian police officers announced that a 53-year-old prisoner left the unguarded workplace in Rudná not far from Praguewho is serving a sentence for property crime. However, he is still at large. He too should not be armed and dangerous.
