The jury and audience of the British Film Festival of Dinard ( Ille-et-Vilaine) agreed on the choice of this funny and poignant cross-cultural satire. An award-winning actress duo
The jury also awarded a special prize to the film Sweetheart, by Marley Morrison, recounting the torments of AJ, a marginalized teenager experiencing her first romantic emotions during her vacation in a summer camp. The acting award went to a duo of actresses, Nora-Jane Noone and Nika McGuigan, two sisters on the brink of the film. Wildfire. The short film prize was awarded to Bound.
The jury for this 32nd edition was made up of actresses Laura Smet and Eye Haïdara but also of the actor Finnegan Oldfield, by director Mohamed Hamidi and several producers. They had to make their choice from the selection made by the Londoner Dominique Green, artistic director of the festival.
