Two young and healthy parents became infected with COVID and left their young sons round orphans

In about 10 days, three of a family in Kostandovo died in hospital. Probably the care of their two boys, aged 10 and 6, will be taken by the closest relatives

In March, newborn twins and their sister from Karnobat also lost their mother and father.

Young husbands from the Rhodope town of Kostandovo lost their lives because of COVID, followed by their husband’s father. The drama intensifies because of their sons, who are orphans.

This is not the first time an insidious infection has wiped out members of the same family. In mid-March, 32-year-old Teodora from Karnobat died of COVID, but doctors saved babies born in the 8th month. They and their 4-year-old sister were orphaned, as the father also died in the intensive care unit of UMHAT-Burgas. (What is their fate today – see below.)

The residents of Kostandovo are shocked after COVID-19 took the lives of three members of a famous local family in just 10 days. Ivo and Desi Imanovi and their husband’s father, Banko, lost their lives due to the infection.

Ivo, 36, and his wife, 37

they did not have

accompanying

diseases,

they were healthy young people who gave everything for the family. They worked and raised their two young boys, who are now left alone.

It is said in the town that the young people were vaccinated, but this information was not officially confirmed, as the RHI refused such information.

“People say that the family became infected at sea, that they were on vacation in Sarnitsa, but I don’t know anything like that,” said Kostandovo Mayor Valentin Vignev.

All three who died were born and raised in the town. People do not remember such a tragedy and pray that it will not happen again. Ivo and Desi are well known to everyone in the Rhodope town. They knew each other from children and got married 10 years ago.

Father Banko Imanov is a long-term construction technician in a road company and thanks to him many residents of Kostandovo find work and livelihood over the years in road construction.

The family

lives in

common property

in Kostandovo. Ivo and his brother have one floor in the family house, and their parents are in another building in the yard. For the last 5 years Ivo has also been working with his father as a construction technician in the construction and repair of roads and streets.

Prior to that, from 2007 to 2016, the young man was an inspector in the “Illegal Construction and Environmental Protection” at Kostandovo City Hall. In connection with his work in the area, everyone knows him, including the administration of the municipality of Rakitovo, where he is a respected professional.

“Ivo was a sociable and dedicated young man. He did his job and gave everything to his family. We can’t believe that Desi and I are gone, ”their colleagues and friends say sadly.

His wife Desi has an economic education and worked as an accountant in RPK-Rakitovo. Smiling and excellent professional, loving mother and wife. They both give their full attention to the children. This year their eldest son is in the 4th grade at the school in Kostandovo, and the younger boy is in preschool age.

Desi was the first to fall ill with COVID-19. In the meantime

the two children

but in mild form. In Kostandovo, it is said that in caring for her sons, the young woman did not pay serious attention to her condition and was treated at home for a long time, until things got drastically worse.

She was admitted to a hospital in Velingrad, where she died a few days later.

Ivo’s mother was also admitted to the hospital due to her worries. However, no one suggests that two more funerals will follow in just a few days in the family.

In the days around Desi’s death, Ivo and his father had already fallen ill with the insidious virus. Banko Imanov was admitted to hospital in Pazardzhik, where he died days after his daughter-in-law.

The son Ivo managed to bury his wife, but later his condition worsened and he was admitted to the COVID ward of a hospital in Plovdiv. He even

Bank. Initially, the condition of the young man was stabilized in the Plovdiv hospital. However, Ivo died on September 27. Friends of the deceased unofficially claim that in fact Ivo’s heart was affected by the infection and he died of a heart attack.

In Kostandovo they believe that after the death of the two young parents the care of the boys will be taken over by Desi’s sister, Ivo’s brother and grandmothers.

“Intelligent, conscientious people are gone. We are all shocked, “Mayor Valentin Vignev told 24 Chassa. He called on his fellow citizens to get vaccinated and strictly follow the anti-epidemic measures so that there are no more such tragedies in the city. The mayor did not hide that a very small part of the residents of Kostandovo have been vaccinated, although there are enough vaccines at the GPs.

A 3-day mourning period was announced in the municipality for the triple death of the Imanov family in the municipality.

This is the second case in less than a year when a 3-day mourning period was announced in the municipality of Rakitovo on the occasion of death caused by COVID-19. At the end of November 2020 there was due to the loss of 18-year-old Atanas Klecharov. The boy, born with Down syndrome, delighted the whole country with his participation in “Bulgaria is looking for talent”, where he dances sport dances despite the disease.

The Mayor of Karnobat: A board of trustees takes care of the babies of Hristo and Teodora

TONY SCHILIYANOVA

The twins of those killed by the coronavirus, Theodora and Hristo from Karnobat, are well, they are cared for by their grandmother – the mother of the deceased Hristo. Babies born prematurely in March have already gained enough and are developing normally. The whole town is involved in their cultivation, says the mayor of Karnobat Georgi Dimitrov.

Donations for the family were collected several times, and with a decision of the municipal council BGN 5,000 one-time assistance was granted.

Hristo’s parents also take care of the twins’ sister, who is 4 years old. The elderly are lovingly raising all three children, said Mayor Dimitrov.

After the tragic death of the twins’ parents, many people wondered if they could adopt the babies, but the relatives of their dead parents were adamant that they would take care of the children. Since Hristo died of a coronavirus days before the twins were born, he was unable to recognize them, but lived with his beloved Theodora on a family basis.

This necessitated the intervention of social services, which explained that a board of trustees of relatives of newborns should be formed to be responsible for their upbringing.

Subsequently, relatives from both families entered it, and Hristo’s parents took care of the three children. The 4-year-old girl had no legal problem, as she was recognized by her father during her lifetime.
