The man who was charged on Thursday the explosion at a block of flats in Annedal in Gothenburg, has not yet been arrested.
The police acted Thursday in several places and conducted a house search at a private address, related to a friend of the accused.
– It’s not much new. The group working on this has just had a meeting. There is no new information, says spokesman Christer Fuxborg in police region West to VG on Saturday.
According to several Swedish newspapers, it is a man in his 50s. He is charged with aggravated public destruction and is wanted nationally in Sweden.
– Checks previous contacts
– Do you suspect that he may have crossed the border into Norway?
– We look broadly, not just in Gothenburg. He is 55 years old and has almost a whole life behind him. We check all previous contacts. We’ve scanned him from head to toe. We leave nothing out, says Fuxborg.
Neither Kripos nor the Eastern police district had been contacted by Swedish police when VG was in contact with them on Saturday morning.
– Do you want to contact the Norwegian police, to pay extra attention at the border or get assistance in other ways?
– I am absolutely sure that they have been in contact with all possibilities where he can be thought to be.
Expressen writes that the accused man himself lived in the apartment block, in his mother’s apartment. However, the mother does not live at the address.
Witnesses say they saw him leave the scene after the explosion.

Wanted throughout Sweden
– All police officers have access to his name and picture, but it is not relevant to go public with it, Maria Thorell says to Aftonbladet.
She refers to privacy.
– He may be innocent. If we then went out with a name and picture, his life could be ruined, she says.
The police do not want to comment on how many tips they have received or the quality of the tips. They will also not comment on how they work with the external reconnaissance or other strategies.
Police attorney Maria Thorell tells Expressen that the police have no other suspects.
She also will not comment on whether he has left the country. According to the newspaper, the accused cannot be wanted internationally until he has been remanded in custody – something he is not at present.
