After the closure of the vaccination center in Heusenstamm, the Offenbach district continues the corona vaccinations. From Wednesday, October 6, 2021, a small vaccination center will open in Dietzenbach. On the upper floor of the Rathaus-Center opposite the cash registers of the REWE store, vaccinations to protect against the coronavirus will continue to be offered Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. As in Heusenstamm, the vaccination center is operated by EcoCare, the Healthcare Division of Ecolog Deutschland GmbH.

Vaccination takes place without an appointment – even children from 12 years of age – with the vaccine from BionTech, with which two vaccinations are necessary for complete vaccination protection. In addition, the Moderna preparation, which also requires two doses for complete protection, can also be selected. Anyone over the age of 18 can also choose the preparation from Johnson & Johnson, with which one vaccination is sufficient for complete vaccination protection.

Bring an identification document and – if available – the health insurance card and the vaccination certificate. Children and adolescents also require the presence of their parents during the vaccination or the consent of the parents on the anamnesis and consent form. Further information and the information sheets for the respective vaccines are available at www.kreis-offenbach.de/impfzentrum retrieve. These should ideally be filled out and brought with you. In this way, waiting times can be avoided. Second vaccinations are also possible in the new vaccination center.

The vaccination center in Dietzenbach also offers booster vaccinations. Eligible persons include people with an immunodeficiency or immunosuppression as well as people in need of care and people aged 80 and over. Individuals can come to the vaccination center in Dietzenbach at any time without making an appointment. The prerequisite is that full vaccination protection has been in place for at least six months. Two mobile vaccination teams visit the respective facilities. Further stations of the vaccination tour with the preparation from Johnson & Johnson are also being planned. As soon as the dates are fixed, they are under www.kreis-offenbach.de/impftour retrieve.

“With the small vaccination center, we continue to offer a low-threshold offer in order to reach as many people as possible,” says District Administrator Oliver Quilling. “Even if around 210,000 people in the district have complete vaccination protection, it is important to provide further information and unconventional vaccination offers, especially in autumn and winter.” So far, vaccinations have been carried out in the Offenbach district in Heusenstamm. Almost 263,000 vaccine doses were administered in the tent on the campus and by mobile teams.
