iPhone 13 Pro Max achieves charging speeds of up to 27W

As is already a tradition in Apple products, the company never reveals everything about its capabilities. Some options are hidden, others are left for a few months later and there are others that are only discovered when tailor-made tests are developed. One example, which was not announced, was the iPhone 13 Pro Max being able to charge faster at speeds up to 27W.

These tests were developed by ChargerLAB and show that not only does the top-of-the-range iPhone bring a bigger battery, it’s also faster to charge.

iPhone 13 Pro Max achieves a peak charging speed of 27W

O ChargerLAB took some tests to understand the capabilities of the new battery iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple's top-of-the-range has the ability to charge faster at speeds up to 27W when connected to a 30W or higher USB-C power adapter.

For comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is capable of charging at speeds up to 21W to 22W with an equivalent power adapter.

It is important to note that the iPhone 13 Pro Max does not sustain the peak power of 27W during the entire charging cycle due to the heat generated. However, the device should still charge a little faster than the iPhone 12 Pro Max in general.

As referred to Publication, the iPhone 13 Pro no longer gets such values. ChargerLAB reported that the iPhone 13 Pro reached maximum charging speeds of 23W in its tests. Therefore, in the case of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, these have basically the same charging speeds as the equivalent iPhone 12 models, according to mm user of Chinese Weibo platform.

Apple no longer includes a charger in the box of new iPhones, but sells a 30W USB-C power adapter for €55.00 for users who want to charge their iPhone 13 Pro Max as quickly as possible due to this discovery.
