A cameraman filming for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation filmed a saltwater crocodile jumping out of the water and biting a drone with its camera in a lagoon near Dundee, Reuters reported.
However, the video survives and shows the camera approaching the crocodile, from which only the head is finally visible. Then his tail is shown, and a second later his snout, opening jaws and teeth are visible. The drone and the camera sink into the murky waters to the bottom.

Operator Dane Hears initially did not understand what was happening, while the grandfather of a child nearby told him that the drone would not return.
The drone was found two weeks later on the shores of the lagoon. The video card in it has survived. The drone is already hooked up in the ABC newsroom.
