158 are the newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19 in Plovdiv region for the last 24 hours. The report of RHI – Plovdiv shows that 10 of them are treated in hospital, the rest are at home. The 14-day morbidity is 306.4 per 100,000 population. Among the new cases are four nurses and an assistant pharmacist.
To date, cases of the disease have been found in a total of 11 kindergartens and schools in Plovdiv and the region. Epidemiological studies are carried out and appropriate anti-epidemic measures are taken on a case-by-case basis.
The hospitalized patients from Plovdiv region to date are 516, 445 of them are in therapeutic treatment, 71 – in intensive care, of which 56 are intubated.
As a result of COVID-19, four people died, all without immunization against the coronavirus. Among them is a 29-year-old woman, 8 months pregnant, without concomitant diseases.
During the past 24 hours, the Emergency Medical Center answered 223 calls. 29 of them are related to COVID-19. 13 people were hospitalized in Plovdiv and 2 in the district. 14 were left for home treatment.
According to the National Information System, there have been a total of 44,798 cases of infection in the area since the beginning of the epidemic. 39,944 have recovered. 2,571 have died.
The active cases in the district are 2283. There are 1767 for home treatment. 3813 are under quarantine.
The number of officially announced cases in the Unified Information Portal and the registered cases for the Plovdiv region in the information system for COVID-19 is not always the same, due to the redirection of patients from other areas. For example: a patient diagnosed on 13.08.2021 in Sofia, during the epidemiological study indicates a permanent address in Plovdiv district and the case is reported to RHI – Plovdiv and vice versa, specified by RHI.
The daily report indicates the number of deaths with COVID-19, and the total number of deaths includes those who died for other reasons, but with a positive result for COVID-19.
