Wenche Myhre (74) makes a comeback on German television in the role of the clumsy aunt from Oslo in the German drama series “Rote Rosen”.
“Rote Rosen” has given German television viewers romance and drama since 2006.
Not unlike the Norwegian drama series Hotel Cæsar, the series has had great support among the soap audience in Germany for a number of years.
The latest addition to the cast is Wenche Myhre. She will play the role of the funny and enterprising, but also very clumsy Aunt Jonna.
Jonna is introduced to the series when she is accommodated in the housing association where the action takes place, on a visit from Oslo.
In the episode, she chases a raccoon who steals berries from the allotment garden behind the house, and surprises the house’s old rocker “Hannes” (Claus Dieter Clausnitzer) in the attempt.
The question the other residents ask themselves is how long they will be able to endure the chaotic aunt from Norway.
–Wenche Myhre will be introduced in the series from the beginning of December, in what will be episode 3466, and will be in the next ten episodes.
The series is broadcast by the German TV channel “Das Erste”. Each season, the drama series revolves around the love story of a woman in her forties.
Wenche Myhre is already a well-known name in Germany for her performances as an artist and TV personality.
Among other things, she represented Germany in the ESC with the song “Ein Hoch der Liebe” in 1968 and for a while topped the charts with “Er hat ein knallrotes Gummiboot” in 1970.
Later she directed her own music program on the German TV channel ZDF. The show was called “Das ist meine Welt” and was a musical journey through different countries hosted by Myhre.
