Olympique Lyon has so far had few problems in the group stage of the Europa League. After a win over Rangers, there is also a win against Bröndby. Lyon was the better team throughout the game, but nevertheless went to rest with a 0-0 score.
After the break, the goals did come. Karl Toko Ekambi took care of the 1-0 after 64 minutes and seven minutes later the same Toko Ekambi decided the match with his second goal of the evening. Lyon then played out the game calmly and scored another goal: Houssem Aouar determined the final score at 3-0.
Napoli – Spartak Moscow 2-3
A nice 2-3 victory by Spartak Moscow visiting Napoli. However, the start of the Russian team was dramatic: within one minute it was already behind by a goal from Eljif Elmas. There seemed to be no problem for Napoli, but that changed in minute 30. Mário Rui had to clear the field after interference from VAR with a direct red card.
After the red card, Spartak came into play a little better. That resulted in the equalizer after the break: Promes shot the ball in after a short corner kick. Ten minutes before the end, Spartak took the victory: Mikhail Ignatov made the 1-2 for the Russians. A few minutes later they had to continue with one man less, after a second yellow card for Maximiliano Caufriez.
Despite the red card from Caufriez, Spartak managed to score another goal just before time. Again it was Promes: he made the 1-3. That turned out to be a very important goal: deep into injury time, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen made it 2-3.
