HC Slovan Bratislava hockey players are deducted three points at the end of the basic part of the Tipos extra league. This was decided by its members at Thursday’s meeting of the League Council. In the match of the 1st round against Dukla Trenčín (4: 1), Slovan was guilty of the SZĽH Competition Rules.
The “Belas” were supposed to have two players from the year 2002 or younger or two vacancies for such hockey players in the duel with Trenčín. Although Slovan left one seat vacant, he had an older player in the other, which the League Council dealt with during the weekend and at the beginning of the week.
“The competition rules allow to keep in force the result by which the match ended on the playing field, ie the personal statistics of players. However, it also allows to deduct three points at the end of the basic part,” explained Rastislav Final: “HC Slovan Bratislava can use the institute of appeal against this decision, and subsequently the SZĽH Executive Committee would deal with it,” he added.
At the same time, the League Council received an objection from HK Dukla Trenčín, in which the club from Matúš Čák’s castle demanded the contumation of the match and the award of three points. The league council did not comply with Trenčan, individual player statistics remain valid.
