Extended compulsory test in Vorpommern-Greifswald
In the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald, an extended test requirement has also applied since today. According to the Corona state ordinance of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, among other things, indoor catering, body-friendly services such as hairdressers, cultural and sports facilities must implement more extensive test requirements indoors. Access to discos and other dance events is therefore only permitted after a negative PCR test has been submitted. In Rostock, these rules came into force on Wednesday. In the Rostock district as well as in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, it is again mandatory to wear a mask in after-school care centers and schools. Both districts were on the risk-weighted level map of the Corona traffic light on three consecutive days on the “yellow” level.

VdK calls for more low-threshold vaccination offers for the disadvantaged
In view of the closure of most corona vaccination centers, the social association VdK is calling for more low-threshold vaccination offers to reach socially disadvantaged people. “We therefore need more and more mobile vaccination offers, especially for socially disadvantaged and homeless people wherever they are in everyday life: in the pedestrian zone, on the supermarket parking lot, at the sports field, in front of the job center,” said VdK President Verena Bentele dem “RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland”.
According to a resolution of the health ministers’ conference at the end of June, the operation of the vaccination centers is to be reduced after today as required. If necessary, the centers should be able to be reactivated quickly. Several federal states are closing the facilities for the time being or have already done so, as in Hamburg, and are relying on family doctor practices and mobile vaccination teams in the future, while others continue to operate individual centers with reduced capacity.

The incidence of new infections in SH falls to 29.4
The authorities have confirmed 146 new corona cases in Schleswig-Holstein (previous day: 215; previous week: 182). This reduces the seven-day incidence of new infections to 29.2 (previous day: 30.4; previous week: 31.3). 19 Covid-19 patients are in intensive care units in the state, eleven of them are ventilated.

Head of the hospital society: Those who do not want to be vaccinated are inconsiderate
The head of the German hospital society, Gerald Gaß, accused people who do not want to be vaccinated for inconsiderate behavior and urged them to be vaccinated against Covid-19. “We live in a free and democratic society in which there is fundamentally an individual right to illness for everyone,” wrote Gaß in an appeal reported by the editorial network in Germany. “But this right to illness must not endanger others.” Every patient receives the best possible care, regardless of whether the disease is self-inflicted and could have been avoided through a reasonable degree of prevention or caution, emphasized Gaß. “Nevertheless, I can understand the indignation of many employees, especially in the intensive care units, who accuse the unvaccinated Covid patients of reckless behavior.” Every intensive care bed and every ventilation unit that is used by an unvaccinated patient is not available to another seriously ill person, said the head of the association. Every nurse and every doctor who takes care of the highly costly Covid patients cannot give their help and attention to other life-threatening patients at the same time.
According to Gaß, 90 percent of Covid patients in intensive care units are not vaccinated. There are only very few medical reasons that rule out vaccination. “It is an important act of solidarity and social cohesion to protect the scarce and valuable human and medical-technical resources in our hospitals for the seriously ill patients who are urgently dependent on them,” he emphasized.
