In Oss, a fire has raged at a primary school for the third time in two weeks. The police believe that the fire was started. There have also been fires in other places in Oss recently.
The fire broke out at a school on Koornstraat. Last Sunday a fire broke out at a primary school Vlasakkers, the same street where a fire broke out in a school building a weekend earlier.
The fire was reported at the school just after 3 a.m. A storage room at the back of the building had caught fire, reports Broadcasting Brabant. The fire spread from that storage room to the gym next door. The fire brigade has removed part of the roof tiles with a cherry picker to be able to extinguish the fire properly.
According to a reporter from the regional broadcaster, the school is open again today.
Cemetery and car fires
There have also been fires in other places in Oss lately. Yesterday there was a fire at a cemetery, also at De Vlasakkers. Earlier, a van and two cars went up in flames.
Police believe the fires are linked. “Each fire is investigated individually, but of course we also look for links,” said a spokesperson.
