In a note intended by the CISSS des Laurentides to managers, doctors, coordinators and staff of the Mont-Laurier hospital and of which CFLO news has obtained a copy, an outbreak of COVID-19 occurred at the medicine and surgery unit of Mont-Laurier Hospital.
It is specified that two nosocomial cases of COVID-19 have been detected in hospitalized users and that rigorous measures have been put in place and must be respected.
Improved hand hygiene to be preferred before entering and leaving the unit, for all staff
The presence of trainees is suspended for the duration of the outbreak.
Massive screening is scheduled for tomorrow, September 29 for all users of this unit as well as healthcare staff who have worked since September 20, including doctors.
We asked to be able to speak with the management of the CISSS des Laurentides to answer our questions, but we have not returned our request for the moment.
