Twitter reports that people from Belarus’s National Security Committee have “broken the address” to break into the door of an apartment, but Andrei Zelcher, an IT employee at the apartment, has been shot dead by a security guard who died of his injuries. Zelcers has also been killed.
The Belarus State Security Committee (KGB) has also reported the incident on its website. Its report, meanwhile, said security forces had conducted special operations to inspect apartments that might contain people involved in terrorist activities. The Belarus State Security Committee claims that one of the apartments was a particularly dangerous criminal.
The Telegram channel Nexta reports that the killer was 32 years old and worked for EPAM Systems.
The published video shows several people knocking on the door of an apartment and saying, “Militia, open the door,” but then start breaking it. The video shows a man with a gun and a woman filming him with a telephone camera in the apartment.
When security guards break into the apartment, the shooting begins. Natalia Žogole, a Twitter user, added a comment to the video, saying: “There are a lot of questions about the assembly, but there are two corpses. KGB employee and opponent killed. Belarus 2021 realities.”
