Samsung caught the eye with a smartphone last fall Galaxy S20 FE, which took the best of spring flag models, but thanks to well-chosen compromises and a low price, became a pre-Christmas hit. Samsung planned to repeat this recipe for success this year, but…
What about the Galaxy S21 FE? Samsung doesn’t know that either
The arrival of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was originally expected in September of this year, as Samsung itself mistakenly for social networking launched a render of this phone and added a hashtag to the accompanying post #backtoschool. There were more leaked marketing materials, so there was no doubt about the impending revelation. However, the lack of chips caused a delay, so speculation began to begin about the October premiere, but now it seems that even this month is not certain.
According to Korean sources, who directly quote one of Samsung’s representatives, the ceremonial unveiling was scheduled for mid-October, but the event was eventually canceled. And not only that, it is said that Samsung is currently examining whether the existence of this model makes sense at all.
There are two reasons for this; the first is the ongoing chip crisis, the second is very good sales of the flexible model Galaxy Z Flip 3, which could be taken away from the upcoming Galaxy S1 FE. And for Samsung, it is undoubtedly better to sell shortage chips in more expensive phones with higher margins.
So if you’ve had a penchant for the Galaxy S21 FE, we encourage you to be patient; it is quite possible that this phone will not see the light of day at all.
