COVID-19 vaccination: the City of Buenos Aires will open the registration for adolescents from 12 to 17 years old

The Buenos Aires government reported that as of tomorrow, Tuesday, at noon, Registration will be opened for adolescents from 12 to 17 years old without comorbidities. The person in charge of confirming the new stage was the Buenos Aires Chief of Staff, Felipe Miguel, with a message on Twitter. It was already enabled for all Buenos Aires 18 years and older and for adolescents with prioritized conditions.

Now, according to the official CABA report, 12-year-old adolescents must attend the shift in the company of a person over 18 years of age. So far, 18,692 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 with prioritized conditions (such as diabetes, obesity and chronic respiratory disease, among others) received at least one dose and 13,874 completed their vaccination schedule.

“In the next few days it will begin with the assignment of shifts. Appointments will be granted via email, WhatsApp and SMS, according to the order of registration. Once they are contacted, the neighbors will be able to select the date, time and place of preference through a personalized link. After receiving the vaccine, they will remain under observation for 15 minutes.“, It indicated.

Since December 29, 2,308,599 people received the first dose of the Sputnik-V, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, CanSino or Pfizer vaccine, so that 75% of the residents of the City have already received at least one dose . Of that total, 1,873,612, representing 61% of the porteños, completed their vaccination schedule. In the City, 4,182,211 vaccines have already been applied.

“The public vaccination centers were conditioned and are strategically distributed throughout the Buenos Aires territory. They are located in clubs, government buildings and cultural centers and have a team of more than 2,000 people working. Each of these points complies with all the corresponding biosecurity measures and is equipped with adequate refrigeration systems for the correct preservation of the vaccines.”, Informed the CABA.

In parallel, the government of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta highlighted that the registration is still open for people in the 1st Stage (health personnel of the public, private and independent system), of the 2nd Stage (over 70 years old and residents of geriatric hospitals). ), Stage 3 (people between 60 and 69 years old), Stage 4 (strategic personnel), Stage 5 (people with risky conditions) and all neighbors over 18 years of age. Likewise, “progress is being made with the vaccination of all boys and girls between 12 and 17 years of age who accredit prioritized conditions,” it was indicated.

– Complete the personal data form.

Step by step of vaccination

– Approach the center on the day and time indicated in the shift.

– Wait for the call from the health team to receive the vaccine.

– Once administered, it must remain 15 minutes under observation.
