A South China Morning Post tweet shows large numbers of people running through a mall trying to be the first to pick up the much-anticipated iPhone. The report says the crush was so intense that the store had to stop selling devices, asking people to come back the next day as a way to try to defuse the situation.

It’s not immediately clear whether this store was a transport partner or an electronics outlet, but signs for Oppo and other manufacturers show it was not an Apple Store.
