Police in Velingrad have found the driver who ran over and killed a pedestrian with his car on Thursday, about a kilometer from Sarnitsa on the road to Velingrad.
As we reported, the body of the 51-year-old man from the Velingrad village of Sveta Petka was found on the road by passing drivers who reported to the police.
During the inspection of the scene it was found that the victim was hit by an unknown vehicle, the driver of which fled the scene.
After several days of hard work, operational police teams found that a 28-year-old man from Sarnitsa was responsible for the serious road accident. He hit and ran over the deceased in a minibus, which was also found.
Work on the case continues under the supervision of the Pazardzhik District Prosecutor’s Office.
