Cardano (ADA) Partners with Major Satellite TV Provider DISH Network » Crypto Insiders

During the Cardano Summit 2021, a number of interesting collaborations between Cardano (ADA) developer Input Output and companies announced. Yesterday we saw the announcement of the collaboration between Cardano and Chainlink (LINK). However, the developer will also partner with DISH Network, a telecommunications company that offers satellite television and is also one of the 200 largest companies in the world.

In the announcement explains Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson that the current telecom sector consists of small islands while consumers want to be able to go anywhere in the world and not have to deal with high costs. Hoskinson explains that he thinks blockchain can revolutionize this sector. According to him, a lot of things come together within this sector:

“Looking at telco now, we think there’s a lot of interface between the use of identity, the exchange of data capacity, and other things that can be done and explored, and this can be done on a scale of millions to tens of millions of users and ultimately on a global scale. So this is a great relationship and partnership and we can’t wait to see how it goes.”

According to DISH Network, the collaboration should primarily benefit the consumer. They need to get a better experience with services and products that offer more value thanks to blockchain technology. However, according to Hoskinson, it will be a major challenge in terms of, among other things, development.

It remains to be seen in the future what exactly the collaboration will produce. The news is nevertheless positively received and comes shortly after the news about the collaboration with Chainlink. Cardano goes the oracles of that project on the blockchain. This brings several possibilities thanks to the fact that data from outside the blockchain can be used in smart contracts.
