Turin –
Victory Juventus on Sampdoria must be paid dearly. Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata injured so he missed Champions League next week.
Juventus host Sampdoria at the Allianz Arena, Sunday (26/9/2021) afternoon WIB. Dybala who started the game opened the scoring in the 10th minute which was doubled by a Leonardo Bonucci penalty in the 43rd minute.
Maya Yoshida had time to cut the gap in injury time. Juventus then took the lead to 3-1 through Manuel Locatelli before Sampdoria made the match end 2-3 thanks to Antonio Candreva’s goal.
Juventus also won their second win of the season as well as crawling up to eighth position in the standings with eight points.
However, there is bad news behind this slick Juventus result. Two of his mainstay players up front, Dybala and Morata, got injured in this match.
Dybala picked up a muscle injury and even left the pitch in tears when replaced by Dejan Kulusevski in the 20th minute. After that, Morata asked to be replaced in the 82nd minute because of a problem with his thigh.
The injury to the two front players was immediately confirmed by Massimiliano Allegri as coach. Dybala and Morata will certainly miss Juventus’ encounter with Chelsea in the Champions League midweek at home.
Not only that, the two will most likely only be able to play after the international break next month.
“Both will be absent against Chelsea and Torino. We’ll see after the international break. Injuries are part of the journey every season and also matches,” said Allegri as quoted by Football-Italy.
With his absence Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata, Juventus will rely on Federico Chiesa, Moise Kean, and Dejan Kulusevski against Chelsea.
