Bring Snapdragon 778G, Realme Q5 Series to be introduced soon?

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Realme seems to be soon introducing its newest Q-series phone in the global market. This is because Realme’s Global VP, Wang Wei Derek, has just confirmed it on the official Weibo page.

In the upload, it is explained that there will be a new Snapdragon 778G-powered Q-series phone in the coming months, which will likely be called the Realme Q5.

If the Realme Q5 really launches soon, then it’s likely that it will pack an LCD screen with Full HD + resolution and a high refresh rate. While one of the variants will be powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset, the other variant is expected to use the Snapdragon 778G SoC.

Recently, a Realme smartphone with the model number RMX3357 appeared on the TENAA certification. It was revealed that the device has a Dimensity 1200 SoC from MediaTek. Then, it is also mentioned that the mysterious phone has a 6.43-inch OLED panel screen and a battery that supports 65W fast charging technology. Then the device is believed to be one of the phones from the Realme Q-series. Unfortunately, the exact launch date has not been revealed until now.

Talking about the Realme Q-Series smartphone, last April, Realme just introduced three Q3 series phones in China, which include the Q3 Pro, Q3, and Q3i. The three devices are included in the 5G smartphone line and have an affordable price of CNY1,000 or equivalent to Rp. 2.2 million.

Of the three, the highest in the series is the Realme Q3 Pro. The phone is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 1100 chipset with four Cortex-A78 cores (2.6 GHz), four A55s, and a 9-core Mali-G77 GPU. The built-in sub-6 GHz modem offers a peak download speed of 4.67 Gbps.

For additional information, the chipset that is the brain of the Realme Q3 Pro runs Android 11 (Realme UI 2.0) and displays it on a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen (1080p+). The 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate also add to the advantages of the Q3 Pro series.

Moreover, the device also has full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space which is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader. If it is true that the Q5 series will be introduced soon, it is hoped that Realme can bring more improvements than the Realme Q3 Pro series which is currently claimed to be the highest model of the Realme Q3 series smartphone.
