The Philadelphia Inquirer refuses to call the fraudulent efforts of the Pennsylvania Republicans an audit.
For weeks, The Inquirer refused to call the Republican effort to defraud the 2020 results an audit:
From that story, we’re adding this box to our coverage to explain why we don’t call it an audit.

What Republicans are doing is not an audit.
The Arizona fraud did not “confirm” President Biden’s victory as many mainstream media claimed, because it was not an audit. Audits are carried out by state and local election officials, not by partisan members of a state legislature who do not follow best practices when reviewing ballots.
The wave of fraud is led by Donald Trump and his henchmen to undermine democracy.
The 2020 election has already been audited in the Swing and Joe Biden states. It was a known fact almost a year ago.
Republicans continue to drum up fraud because this waste of taxpayer money has nothing to do with finding the winner of the 2020 election. Everyone already knows that Joe Biden won.
The purpose of the fraud is to lay the groundwork for voter suppression laws that will bring Trump back to power.
The Philadelphia Inquirer knows this and isn’t playing along.
