Steam will prohibit playing older versions of games? The latest beta of the platform is not optimistic

Steam will most likely prevent players from restoring older game versions.

In sporadic situations, players are forced to go back to previous versions of games, for example to be able to continue the game on one save. This option was almost always available on Steam, but it seems that the latest updates to Valve’s platform will remove it permanently.

According to pcgamesn.com, the latest Steam beta has added a feature that prevents users from restoring older versions of games. Many people are dissatisfied with this change, because, on the example of many recipients, very often interested parties spent longer on the previous version of Euro Truck Simulator 2, so that the authors of the modification could adapt their “add-ons” to the latest SCS Software update.

The change described above was noticed by the creator of the popular SteamDB website – Pavel Djundik. The author is rarely wrong, so we can assume that preventing restoring older versions of games will come into force with the next Steam updates.
