If you can’t use Apple Music on the iPhone or iPad

If you restore your new iPhone or iPad from a backup, you may not be able to access the Apple Music catalog or settings or use Sync Library on the new device. To solve this, update the new iPhone or iPad.

This issue affects only these devices:

  • iPhone 13
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 13 Pro
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPad (9th generation)
  • iPad mini (6th generation)

Update the new iPhone or iPad

  1. Go to Settings> General.
  2. Tap Software update.
  3. Tap Install Now.
  4. Wait for the update to finish.
