Taxi driver robbed car in Oslo

The police were notified of the robbery that took place in Københavngata on Dælenenga in Oslo at 2.30. The car was found parked on Tøyen a while later.

– We are looking for three or four younger men or boys. The taxi driver, who is now in the emergency room, has explained to us that he was threatened, the robbers showed handguns and a knife, and he was robbed of both phone and car, says operations manager Line Skott in the Oslo police district to NTB.

– The driver was subjected to violence and is very affected by the incident. He is now being taken care of in the emergency room, says the operations manager at 4 o’clock on Thursday morning.

All available crews searched for the perpetrators for an hour and a half after the robbery, and the police helicopter was also put into the search, but the active search ended just after 4 o’clock.

The driver has explained that he first picks up a passenger. After a while, several people came to the place, and then the situation escalated.

– We are now working with intelligence and electronic tracks and video surveillance, says Skott.

TV 2 has not come into contact with the police, but they say VG that the description of the perpetrators is vague, but the offended say they are around 25 years old, dark in the skin, and that one of them should be thin. The driver will also be questioned at a later date.

The police report on Twitter that the taxi is being towed in for further investigations. They have also found the cardholder of the victim after a search with a dog.
