The stars of the Back to the Future franchise will soon be reunited in a new film: Next Stop Christmas.

Fans of Back to the future can rub their hands. It looks like Thompson and Lloyd are finally meeting up on camera. After having respectively camped Lorraine and Doc, the two actors resume service together. We owe this project to Hallmark, the television channel specializing in year-end movies and pretty mainstream romances. For this year, not less than 40 films dedicated to the magic of Christmas are announced. And among them the project Next Stop Christmas.

This film featuring Lloyd and Thompson will be broadcast across the Atlantic on November 6. The project follows the story of a certain Angie. The latter regrets having refused an ex-boyfriend who became a famous sports commentator.
Lloyd and Thompson capture the magic of Christmas in new movie
The plot will offer Angie a second chance. Indeed, she meets a mysterious train conductor. The latter offers him the opportunity to travel through time to change his destiny.. And like any good Christmas movie: all’s well that ends well. For the moment, few details filter on this project. Casting side, we will also find Lyndsy Fonseca and Chandler Massey. Logically, Thompson should play Angie’s mother and Llyod the “magic” driver.
Since 1996, the two actors had not had the opportunity to be reunited on the screen. It was for television, in the second-rate TV movie: The Right to Be Silent. But that does not prevent the two accomplices from multiplying, solo, the projects. Lloyd has become a recurring actor in successful series. Thompson enjoyed an unprecedented triumph with the program Family Switched at Birth from 2011 to 2017.
This news smacks of the magic of Christmas. Finding these two iconic actors was unexpected to say the least. So thank you Hallmark for giving us such a great gift for the holiday season. At the moment, it is not yet known whether the film will be distributed in one way or another in France.
