The city of Albacete is immersed in the celebration of the European Mobility Week, days in which the use of sustainable means of transport is encouraged, such as bicycles or urban buses.
The city has a bicycle loan service, Albabici, which has been in operation since its launch in September 2019. During this time, it has been gaining users, although the pandemic has also had an influence.
At the moment, the bicycle loan service in the city of Albacete has 3,243 subscribers. Throughout the month of August, 11,693 loans were recorded, somewhat less than just before the pandemic, since 20,038 uses were registered in February 2020 and 19,757 in October.
The stops most used by the subscribers of the service, in the month of August, were the one of the España avenue with the Tetuán street, Hermanos Falcó with the Almansa street and the one at the end of the Park.
The bicycle loan service has 32 stops distributed in as many locations in the city and the fleet is made up of 320 conventional and 64 electric bicycles.
