Paris Saint-Germain escapes in the 95th minute, Bosz’ Lyon also takes victory

Paris Saint-Germain is in de dying seconds escaped at FC Metz. Achraf Hakimi only scored the winning goal in the final minute of injury time. This prevents the first loss of points for PSG.

PSG had to do it at Metz without Lionel Messi. The Argentinian has a knee injury, the club announced this week. It has been almost exclusively about Messi for the past few days. His ‘collision’ with trainer Mauricio Pochettino was central. Messi was substituted and was not happy about that. The under attack Pochettino seems to be able to do little wrong and so a victory over Metz was desperately needed.

It all seemed to be heading in the right direction for PSG, as Hakimi scored the opening goal after just five minutes of play. Shortly before the break, the Parisians had to start from scratch again due to the equalizer of Metz.

When it was still 0-0 after an hour, Pochettino decided to bring some offensive impulses into the field with Angel Di Maria. He came for Georginio Wijnaldum. It looked like it was going to be a draw for PSG, until Hakimi scored the winning goal in minute 95.

Olympique Lyon – Troyes 3-1
Peter Bosz’s Olympique Lyon has won a victory over Troyes after the defeat against PSG. It was 3-1 in that game. Bosz and co. had to chase after Xavier Chavalerin made 0-1 before half time.

But everything went well in the second half. Xherdan Shaqiri quickly equalized and it then became 2-1 and even 3-1 by Emerson Palmieri and Lucas Paqueta. Lyon is in sixth place in France.
