The climax of months of training: where do Elodie and Otto-Jan end up at the World Time Trial Championships? | World Cycling Championships

Elodie and Otto-Jan were supported by the international
renowned experts from KU Leuven. In The Time of Our Lives we looked inside their lives and saw how they train, eat, sleep every day… A process that is already quickly turned out to be much more intense than they ever imagined.

Life as a top athlete cut into their bodies and minds. It completely turned their busy lives and that of their family and environment upside down. But did it deliver? What time did they drive, and where in the rankings do they end?

At the official World Time Trial Men’s World Championship, Christopher Symonds finished last with a time of 1h05’56”. He drove an average speed of 39.4 km/h. In the women’s race, Asma Jan finished last with a time of 51’49. “. She drove an average speed of 35.1 km/h.

Elodie rode her time trial at an average speed of 34.63 km/h, in a time of 52’30”. Unfortunately 41 seconds slower than the last time with the women.

Otto-Jan drove the course with an average speed of 41.58 km/h, in a time of 1h02’29”. He thus finished penultimate in the standings, leaving Christopher Symonds behind.
