The basic premise of the system is that each voter always has more votes available than there are winning options. In the case of the Czech Nightingale, there are five. They all have the same weight and the voter may or may not use them in full. Only one vote can be taken for each of the options.

The organizers of the survey also revealed the form of a new statuette, which will be received by the winners of individual categories. Its authors are Viktorie Beldová and Lilia Khousnoutdin.

In addition to Janeček, producer Jakub Horák, who took over the post of director of the survey from Jaroslav Těšínský, is behind the rebirth of the survey on the most popular singer, singer and group. Těšínský is the honorary director of Slavík and remains in close contact with the new creators.

Four years ago, I wondered what a pity it was that the largest nationwide poll, invented by Ladislav Smoljak almost sixty years ago, was failing because it was using a bad voting system. I think that what happened to the poll could not happen with the D21 voting system, “said Karel Janeček at the press conference.

“The voting system used to work with people voting for the first, two for the second and one for the third. When the band’s supporters agreed, they gave it three votes and did not give another to anyone. As a result, an imbalance arose that did not even express the support of the band. The new system is absolutely fair, safe, no one can interfere in it and the prize will be awarded to the one who really wins, “said Jakub Horák.

The organizers for this year also added the Hip-hop and rap category to the usual categories of the survey. “We want to separate it a bit, direct it to the target group on social networks and not confuse it with celebrities that viewers know from TV Nova broadcasts. It will also be voted in the Discovery of the Year category, the nomination of which will be determined by an expert jury composed of respected music publicists. Voting in this category will begin on November 6, the day after voting in the main categories ends. The vote for Discovery of the Year will last until the middle of the live broadcast, “said Jakub Horák.
