Aldi also bans all broiler chickens by 2026 | Inland

The BCC is an initiative of about thirty animal organizations, including GAIA, to improve the animal welfare of broiler chickens. Aldi will switch to slower-growing varieties that live longer and better, says the supermarket chain. The chickens will get 40 percent more room to move and there will be natural daylight in the stables.

As a first step, Aldi has been selling broiler chickens raised according to BCC standards since this month.

Colruyt, Okay, Delhaize and Lidl had also previously announced that they would switch over the coming years.
