The crime was committed in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate
A customer shot a 20-year-old gas station worker after he asked him to put on a mask while buying beer. The murder took place on Saturday night in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
After a brief conflict with the victim, the attacker left the store. About an hour and a half later, the suspect returned, this time wearing a face mask. But while he was carrying his beers to the cash register, he took off his mask and a new argument broke out.

“The perpetrator then pulled out a gun and shot him directly in the head,” prosecutor Kai Furman told reporters.
The 49-year-old German suspect went to the police station the next day to surrender, after which he was arrested. During questioning, he said he felt “pressured” by the measures against the coronavirus, which he perceived as a “continuing growing violation of his rights” and saw no other way to oppose it, Furman said.
