The management of the carmaker is said to be waiting only for the decision of the European division. However, power units remain an issue.

The arrival of the new generation Ford Bronco has provoked a huge wave of enthusiasm not only overseas, where it is an iconic model, but also on the old continent. However, while in the USA the receipt of orders, which in a while numbered in the thousands, soon opened, the news came to Europe that we were unlucky.
Of course, there are still ways to get Bronco in Europe, but it is not a completely official way. However, the situation could change, as Ford CEO Jim Farley suggested during an interview with Auto Express colleagues during the Goodwood Revival, where he set out to race his 1966 Ford GT40.

Asked if Bronco could enter European markets, Farley should have said with a smile:I’m just waiting for these guys to change their minds“- which was supposed to be an allusion to the management of the Ford of Europe division. Farley himself does not doubt the possibilities of the Ford Bronco in Europe.
Asked if, in his opinion, Bronco would work in Europe, he only replied: “Absolutely, it worked. I see all the Defenders around – absolutely. I think it would work well.“
Europe could be an interesting opportunity for Bronco, but the question arises as to what form Bronco would have reached the old continent. Whether only in the form of a smaller Bronco Sport SUV, which we have already tried, or even as a full-fledged Bronco off-road frame.

Another unknown would be the power units, where, for example, a large Bronco can be equipped with either a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine or a 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost. The smaller Bronco Sport can then be fitted with either a two-liter or a fifteen-liter EcoBoost. However, all engines would probably have a negative effect on the brand’s fleet emissions.
It is thus possible that we will have to wait for electrified versions, the arrival of which has been lively speculated since the introduction of the new Ford Bronco. There could be both a plug-in hybrid and a purely electric Bronco in the game. On the other side of the spectrum, the Bronco Raptor is expected, which could function as an interesting specialty in Europe for a change.
