A strong storm in Lovech cut off electricity and felled dozens of trees. No one was injured, but there was a lot of material damage.
Measures have been taken by the Civil Protection and the electricity distribution company to remove fallen trees and damage, and somewhere the citizens have joined in to help.

Strong wind – with speed up to 34 meters per second, cut power lines in the municipalities of Lovech, Lukovit, Ugarchin and Yablanitsa.
In about 30 minutes in the regional town fell 13.4 liters per square meter of rain. According to the regional directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Lovech, about 20 signals have been submitted for fallen trees. A tree fell on a car in “Drastene”, but there are no trapped people. Fallen trees have been removed on the streets of Veliko Tarnovo and Saiko Saev opposite the hospital.
Many of the city’s streets turned into rivers, and cars floated.

The affected places in Lovech were patrolled immediately after the storm by Deputy Mayors Daniel Kolev and Ventsislav Hristov, who followed the activities of clearing the streets, BNT reported.

Significant damage was inflicted on the social housing in the Goznitsa neighborhood, where strong winds knocked down electrical panels. The power supply is interrupted.
