The United States will ease some travel restrictions starting in November, when it will require all foreigners visiting the country to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, it was announced Monday.
All foreigners traveling to the United States will need to show proof of vaccination before boarding and a negative test performed within three days of the flight, said White House COVID-19 coordinator Jeff Zients, who announced the new politics.
The administration of President Joe Biden will also toughen the rules for Americans who have not been vaccinated, since they will have to be examined one day before leaving the United States, and the same when returning.
Fully vaccinated passengers will not be required to quarantine themselves, Zeints said.
The new policy replaces those first announced by the Donald Trump government last year and later toughened by Biden, according to which the entry into the country of non-citizens who have been in the United Kingdom in the previous 14 days, the Union, is restricted. Europe, China, India, Iran, the Republic of Ireland, Brazil and South Africa.
“This policy is up to the individual and not the country, so it is a more robust strategy,” Zients said.

It was not immediately clear which vaccines will be accepted by the United States, or whether the government will accept those that have not been approved in the country. Zients stated that that decision will be in the hands of the CDC.
The new policy will take effect in early November, giving airlines and other travel companies time to implement the new requirements, Zients said.
